My mum is a mother
And was a lover
She gave me the gift of life
And was my Dad's wife
She loved him till his last breath

I don't recall all she has done for me

Childhood memories fade away

but she is an artists and paints

Over the years she cared for our family

Cooking many a fine meal with zest and zeal

She is well loved

Many happy times we have shared

Visiting my brother in Scotland
And family holidays
